Perculus includes a built-in file system for storing your documents, video, and audio files. In the panel's files page, you can upload files for either shared use or for your personal use only. The files you add to the shared files folder can be utilized in sessions by any instructors or administrators who wish to use them.

Allowed file types and sizes: Video (mp4, m4a): 500.0 MB, 1.60Mbps Audio (mp3): 500.0 MB, PDF - Portable Document (pdf): 50.0 MB, Image (jpg, jpeg, png, pjpeg, pjp, jfif): 5.0 MB

  1. Click on the fifth button from the top on the left side of the window, which is the "Files" button.
    1. If you only want to add files and folders that only you can use, click on "My Files" in the opened page.
    2. If you want to add files and folders that can be used by all instructors and administrators registered in your organization's system, click on "Common Files" on the opened page.

Creating a New Folder

You can create folders for the files you will upload to the system; you can name them according to the course, topic, term, group, or your needs. You can categorize and easily find the files you will use by grouping them in folders.

  1. Click on the "New Folder" button, which is located in the first position to the right of the "Files" text at the top of the page.
  2. Enter the folder name in the text box at the top of the opened window.
  3. Click on the "Create" button at the bottom right of the window.
  4. A new folder has been created and added to the file list.
  5. Click on the folder name you created in the file list.
  6. You can navigate inside the folder.
  7. You can add a new folder or upload files.

Upload New File

Before your virtual classroom sessions, you can upload your files in the files section within the panel. This way, you can quickly open and use your files during the virtual classroom session without wasting time on file upload and conversion.

Allowed file types and sizes: Video (mp4, m4a): 500.0 MB, 1.60Mbps Audio (mp3): 500.0 MB, PDF - Portable Document (pdf): 50.0 MB, Image (jpg, jpeg, png, pjpeg, pjp, jfif): 5.0 MB

  1. Stay in the top-level directory in the "My Files" or "Shared Files" list or click on the name of the folder where you want to upload files.
  2. Click on the "Upload File" button, which is the second one on the right side of the "Files" title at the top of the page.
  3. Your computer's file picker will open.
  4. Locate the file you want to use on your computer.
  5. Hover your mouse cursor over the file you want to upload and select the file by clicking the left mouse button.
  6. Click the "Open" button at the bottom right of the file picker.
  7. Your file has been uploaded to files list.

Viewing Folders or Files

You can view the names of the folders and files you've added to the panel by clicking on them. You can also download the viewed files to your computer.

  1. Under the "Files List" section at the top of the page, folders and files are listed in rows.
  2. In the files list rows, you will find columns for the file name, creator, creation date, type, size, and options.
  3. (Method 1) To view folders or files, click on the options (three dots) button in the sixth column of the file list rows.
  4. Click on "Show."
  5. You are viewing the folder or file.
  6. (Method 2) To view folders or files, click on the folder or file names in the first column of the file list rows.
  7. You are viewing the folder or file.

Deleting Folders or Files

You can delete files and folders you no longer want in the system using the file or folder options. Additionally, the size of the files you upload should not exceed your purchased package's available storage limit. To view the storage limit, visit the Settings page, Kotas tab, from your system administrator account.

  1. Under the "Files List" section at the top of the page, folders and files are listed in rows.
  2. In the files list rows, you will find columns for the file name, creator, creation date, type, size, and options.
  3. To view folders or files, click on the options (three dots) button in the sixth column of the file list rows.
  4. Click on "Delete."
  5. You have deleted the folder or file you created.

Bulk Delete Folders or Files

You can delete files and folders you no longer want in the system individually or collectively. Additionally, the size of the files you upload should not exceed your purchased package's available storage limit. To view the storage limit, visit the Settings page, Kotas tab, from your system administrator account.

  1. Under the "Files List" heading at the top of the page, folders and files are listed row by row.
  2. In the files list rows, you'll find columns for file name, creator, creation date, type, size, and options.
  3. In the first column of the files list rows, you can click the checkbox to select all folders and files on the screen, or you can individually select files by clicking the checkboxes next to the listed folder and file names.
  4. After selecting the files, click the "Clear Selection" button, which appears on the right under the "Files List" heading at the top of the page.
  5. All your folder and file selections will be cleared.
  6. After selecting the files, click the "Apply" button, which appears on the right under the "Files List" heading at the top of the page.
  7. In the pop-up window, click the "Delete" button.
  8. The selected folders and files have been deleted.

Searching Among Folders or Files

If you're having trouble finding registered files or folders in the system, you can search among files and folders by file name, creation date - start, creation date - end, creator, and file type.

  1. Click on the search button, which is the third option on the right of the file list at the top of the page.
  2. While searching in the file list, you can add a filter or you can add multiple filters.
  3. In the search section at the bottom of the file list, type the file name or folder name.
  4. Click on the creation date - start text box.
  5. Select a date from the calendar.
  6. Click on the creation date - finish text box.
  7. Select a date from the calendar.
  8. Click on the creator selection dropdown.
  9. Automatic search will occur with each letter you type.
  10. Make a selection from the listed names.
  11. Click on the file type selection dropdown.
  12. Make a selection from the listed file types.
  13. Click the search button.
  14. Files and folders in the file list will be displayed based on the values you entered.

Switching Between Files List

To prevent complexity, files and folders are displayed in lists with a maximum of 15 records in each.

  1. Below the "Files List" text at the top of the page, folders and files are listed row by row.
  2. At the bottom of the files list, there are page navigation buttons and the numbers indicating the displayed folders and files.
  3. Click on the first-page (<<) button, which is the first in the page navigation buttons.
  4. You have switched to the first page of the files list.
  5. In the files page navigation buttons, click on the previous page (<) button, which is the second.
  6. You have moved to the previous page from the page you were on in the files list.
  7. Center bottom of the files page, (1-10/X) represents the files currently visible in the list, and (X-X/145) represents the total number of files available.
  8. Click on the next page (>) button, which is the fourth in the files page navigation buttons.
  9. You have moved to the next page from the page you were on in the files list.
  10. Click on the last page (>>) button, which is the fifth in the files page navigation buttons.
  11. You have switched to the last page of the files list.
